On November 4 of this year the Italian city of Genoa was inundated by flood waters, after days of torrential storms along the Country’s north west coastline. The flood killed seven people, including two children.
Kasabian giutarist Sergio Pizzorno, whose band Kasabian is currently on the top of the English charts with their latest album ‘Velociraptor!’, is a massive Genoa fan and he donated his guitar, a Fender Stratocaster (signed by all the band members), to the football club.
From tomorrow, Sunday 27th November, at 4.00 p.m., a charity auction is starting on eBay as Sergio Pizzorno’s guitar has been put up for grabs.
Auction proceeds will be entirely donated to charity, in order to help Genova’s citizens affected with this terrible flood.
Bids will be allowed up to Wednesday 7th December at 4.00 p.m.
The initiative has been made possible thanks to Live-Onlus, a no profit organization specializing in humanitarian fundraising.
